Yesterday I found this old polaroid picture of me. I'm 11 years old and dressed as Pippi Longstocking. I totally forgot about that and that I loved to have my hair that way. It's my own hair and my mother did a great job creating it. Nobody was allowed to touch it or even come near me. Now I know were the inspiration for my drawings comes from...
You must have really loved Pippi! :)ReplyDelete
Very cute photo! It's really a piece of art how you and your mother got you dressed up complete with the trademark hairdo!ReplyDelete
Alaaf! Wat leuk, ben ik ook ooit geweest. Een paar jaar geleden zag ik een groep verkleed als Pipi. Jong en oud, man en vrouw, iedereen met dezelfde pruik en zo. Ik wens je een fijne carnaval.ReplyDelete

But I will anyway compliment you for your beautiful pictures.

Céline, that pic of you is magic. So is the fact, that you have forgotten about it and still returned to Pippi. Love that!ReplyDelete
Oh it's great! And as Annton said, the fact that you didn't remember it just adds more magic!ReplyDelete
This explains everything!ReplyDelete
I had a guinea pig named after Pippi's monkey, but that's not quite the same :)
It’s excellent! and yes it does explain a lot !ReplyDelete
What a wonderful find! You are such a lively young girl in this photo- so pretty and full of fun style. It makes your paintings even more meaningful as they connect so deeply to the spirit of your past.ReplyDelete
