and now what?
I finished number 3 of a white plate with a red girl. And now I'm thinking about what to do with them. With all the crockery I made in the last few months, continue or not.... You can find all the plates I made on the right site of this blog: labels: crockery. Well, I have to think about it for a while....

soup for christmas!
Between all the new projects I started I maneged to get the last 5 soup plates ready. I now have 6 dinner plates and 6 soup plates ready of the same crockery. Maybe I surprice my guests during christmas dinner with these plates... I wish you all good week and thanks to the ones who left a comment to the last post!

the order of the day
As you might remember a few weeks ago I was quite sick and since then new ideas just keep crashing into my head. Maybe it's true what they say: if you slow down for a moment, your mind opens up to new ideas, just think about nothing and then.... Maybe this functions really well if you're forced to do nothing, like me, when you're sick. Otherwise I find this very hard to do, but maybe it's just not such a bad idea. But anyway: me being busy with new stuff like my other blog, the crockery or making racks kept me away of my big drawings which I noticed today. I really have been neglected them so this week I have to give my new drawing some attention. So back to the studio!

more in store
A picture of my working table which is now full of drying dinner plates. I finished all 6 of the dinner plates of the service of my grandmother. All togehter they look nice I think. Now I start drawing on the soup plates and after that maybe some more red plates.
I wish you all a good week!

old habits die hard
And again I reached out to the colour red, which has become "my colour". While working on my blue dinner plates I also made this one last week. A new, modern plate for a red girl (more magenta I would say...). And I'm still not sure what to think of it. What I like about the blue ones is the combination of old and new: the old flowers and my drawing connected to it. This one is very "modern" already in it's shape. So what do you think of it?

know a colour blue
After my frustrations with the spirograph I turned back to what I love to do at the moment: making some more dinner-plates. I really like making them so I think I'll make some more and try out some other plates. I realized that if you find something you like do draw or make, you'll get into some kind of flow. No stress, no thinking, just the colour blue and the drawing. It doesnt't always work that way off course but for the moment this was my Mandala, it just looks different!

no, this is not a test
Well, that is not completely truth: at first this dinner plate was a test, including the plates I made before this one. All because of my search for a water resistant marker to draw on porcelain. And now I found one and I started drawing on an old dinner service of my grandma. To be honest I'm really happy with it, I like the colour blue and also the combination of my drawing and the flowers on the plate. Now I start drawing on the rest of the set and I also want to try out some other plates. It will be water resistant but not scratch resistant...
What do you think of it?
